In the first quarter of 2014, Badilag held technical training on court administration in Bogor, facilitated by Directory of Court Administration Development. The training was arranged to run 10-14 of March.

The Director of Court Administration Development, Dr. Hasbi Hasan, SH., MH., stated that the participants of the training had been tightly selected through several criteria. The most decisive information regarding the recruitment criteria was adopted from Case Information Portal http://infoperkara.badilag.net .

“Through the portal, we better understand which courts that have implemented Court Administration System (SIADPA) in a good, middle or low category,” said Hasbi Hasan.

.

The training was involved 33 participants which were largely dominated by registrar/secretary. As the training was focused on administration handling and control, either manually or computer based administration, the speakers were High Chief Judge of Bandar Lampung High Religious Court, Dr. H. Zainudin Fajari, SH., MH., Vice High Chief Judge of Jakarta High Religious Court, Dr. Edi Riadi, SH., MH., and the National Team of SIADPA.

The training was enriched through simulations and practices of handling and operating the system of SIADPA. In the future, the participants were expected to be able to implement their proficiency in the work place.

The Director of Court Administration Development asserted that Badilag will continuously monitor the contribution of participants in each work place after they spent the-5 day training. The Director hoped all participants should be agent of change regarding the utilization of SIADPA.

Hasbi Hasan underlined the importance of utilizing information technology in this era. Information technology as he stated has become a need. He considered that information technology has reached all aspects of life, including court system.

Nonetheless, people of Religious Court in particular, have different perceptions dealing with information technology. They are divided into three different models: manual minded, extreme minded, and transition minded.

Manual minded related to those who think that all data connected cases must be manually recorded since the manual records are authentic data. They give no space for information technology adopted in court administration system.

In contrary, there are people of Religious Court who want to entirely abandon manual tradition and replace with the sophisticated information technology. They are called an extreme minded people.

Between the both is transition minded. People in this model go through the middle path by which they temporary maintain the manual system and gradually move toward information technology usage. [SQ]
