Badilag extends deepest condolences on Sumatra earthquake

Badilag is deeply moved by the heavy casualties and loss of property following the recent deadly earthquake that struck West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The building of PTA (High Religious Court) Padang was badly damaged by the quake (see picture). The building of PA (Religious Court) Pariaman is also reported to have suffered from many cracks. Minor cracks also struck several PA’s buildings in this devastated province.
Directorate General of Badilag (Religious Courts Body) wishes to extend its deepest condolences to the victims and sincere sympathy to the families. Badilag hopes that those, particularly Religious Courts’ officers, who have suffered from the disaster would find courage and determination to cope with the recent difficulties.
Badilag also hopes that Religious Courts’ employees and officials from other regions and provinces to provide support through any possible means.
.“On behalf of Directorate General of Religious Court Body and my own behalf, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the victims and those who have been affected by the earthquake,” said Wahyu Widiana, Director General for Badilag.
“To the Religious Courts’ officers and officials in West Sumatra who have been suffering from this deadly earthquake, I hope that all of you would find bravery and will to overcome this challenge. May Allah bless you all,” he said. (cho/photo: anton espraja)
