In addition, the presentation demonstrated the Supreme Court’s clear and comprehensive planning for the next 25 years, which is known as Buleprint of the Indonesian Supreme Court.

The 4th IACA conference was held to develop collaboration and identification of best practices in managing courts and their administration. The conference taking place in Bosporus Strait was attended by some 200 participants worldwide such as from the USA, Canada, Central America, South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, Arabian countries, Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, China, Japan and Australia.

IACA Conference for Asia Pacific in Indonesia as a follow-up

Richard Foster, who was elected Vice President of IACA internationally, show his deep interest in Widayatno’s presentation of the Supreme Court’s Blueprint.

He asked the Supreme Court to host IACA conference for Asia Pacific Regional level which is planned to be held in the beginning of 2011. Richard asked previously said the conference would be held in the end of 2010. Richard also suggested that the upcoming conference adopt the theme as has been formulated in the Vision, Mission and Background of the Supreme Court Blueprint.

“We will later formulate the exact theme. But it should be about Court Excellence on which the Blueprint is based,” said Cate Sumner, IALDF Adviser, who along with Richard Foster met with Widayatno after presentation.

Widayatno responded well to the proposal. He said the plan of hosting the IACA conference was on the discussion table of Supreme Court leadership.

“We will first report it to the Chief Justice,” Widayatno said.

The regional conference that is to be held in Indonesia is a trust of this International association (IACA) to the Indonesian judiciary. This conference should be used to show the international public what achievements the Supreme Court has made and what steps have been planned to create great Indonesia Courts.
