DG: Justice Seekers satisfaction must be top priority

Director General of Badilag, Wahyu Widiana, said Religious Courts should pay greater attention to public complaints to enhance the quality of public services. Rate of justice seekers satisfaction is also needed to measure so as to evaluate the courts shortcomings in providing the services.
“The improvement of Human Resources is a must to guarantee that the services meet public expectation,” he added. Wahyu made those statements when officially opening Regional Working Meeting of High Religious Court (PTA) of Jayapura in Manokwari, West Papua on February 11, 2010. Governor of West Papua also attended the meeting.
.Wahyu further asked all elements in executive, legislative and judicative to enhance the cooperation in giving services for the sake of the advancement of the nation.
Meanwhile, Governor of West Papua, Abraham Oktavianus Otoruri, said that law enforcement was the main task of judicial officers. Even though this was not an easy task to do, he said, the law enforcement should address public sense of justice.
He underlined 4 factors that affect law enforcement, namely the contents of laws, legal officers, facilities and local legal culture.
Chief Judge of High Religious Court of Jayapura, Abdurrahman HAR, hoped that the Regional Meeting would produce better programs toward a better PTA Jayapura. “Look at weaknesses and shortcomings that we have and then analyze them. We should be better than before,” Chief Judge said before judges and registrars from all over PTA Jayapura jurisdiction.
