Religious Courts’ judges as the ones with the authority to settle sharia economy cases need to fully comprehend the complexity of regulations pertaining to sharia economy cases.
“It’s important for Religious Courts’ judges to really understand how complicated the regulations of sharia economy are,” Chief Justice, Harifin A. Tumpa, said when closing a five-day certification training on sharia economy for Religious Courts’ judges on Friday (30/4) in the Supreme Court Training Center, Bogor.
.The rapid development of today’s economic laws requires judges to be more qualified in resolving economic-related cases so as not to make people disappointed with the court decisions. Judges are demanded to be flexible in interpreting laws and regulations through constructive methods, Harifin said.
The certification training on sharia economy was followed by 92 judges from Religious Courts and High Religious Courts across Indonesia. Based on the final assessment of the participants’ performance, the committee announced the best 3 from PTA (High Religious Court) and PA (Religious Court).
