National Legal Reform Program (NLRP), a program funded by Dutch government, disclosed the final report of its observation on Indonesian judge candidate training, which is regularly carried out by the Supreme Court’s training center.

On its executive summary of the report, Charlotte Keijer and Henriette Schatz from NLRP stated that the formulation of judge candidate training program should be based on the understanding that theoretical and practical education must be conducted in an integrated manner.

The contents of the program must also be aimed at preparing judge candidates to meet their prime tasks of a specific profession i.e. judge.

A number of the Supreme Court officials, such as Deputy Chief Justices, attended the presentation of the final report that was held at the transit room in the training center last Monday (9/8/2010).
