Sudan, the Right Place to Study Sharia Economy Law

A comparative study team from the Supreme Court arrived at Jakarta (20/10) after two weeks studying sharia economy law in Sudan. DG of Badilag, Wahyu Widiana, welcomed the delegation consisting of seven religious courts judges and headed by Nasich Salam, a graduate from Sudan University. When meeting with the DJ, the team also submitted a 200-page written report.

“We very much thank the DG of Badilag, along with all the leadership of the DG, who have fully supported us and given us the trust and facilities so that we could run the comparative study smoothly,” Nasich Salam said.

He further explained that during their study in Sudan (5 – 20 October 2010), the team learnt many things related to sharia economy law, both procedural and substantial laws. In addition, the team studied the law system applied in this Islamic country. .

“Sudan welcomed and received us very warmly. We are very impressed with their welcome,” Nasich added.

“Sudan is the right country for Indonesia to learn how sharia economy cases are handled,” he said while adding that sudan is very eager to see the direct development of sharia economy in Indonesia.

DG of Badilag, Wahyu Widiana, expressed his happiness and appreciation to the delegation and Sudan. “Alhamdulillah, my colleagues and I are so happy to meet again with the delegation. Moreover, we can hear direct information and report from the team,” Wahyu said.

Wahyu hoped that cooperation with Sudan could be enhanced and strengthened through deeper cooperation. (c)
