Chief Justice, the Hon. Harifin A Tumpa inaugurated The Court’s New Secretariat Building, on Wednesday (12/08/2010). This building is located at Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani, Kav. 58, Central Jakarta."By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, we hereby inaugurate this building," said Harifin before the audience consisting of Vice Chief Justice for Non-Judicial Affairs, Deputy Chief Justices, the Supreme Court Justices, officials of echelon I and II, as well as other guests. . MA Secretariat Building comprises 12 floors which are allocated for Directorat General (DG) Badilum (General Courts), DG Badilag (Religious Courts), DG Badilmiltun (Military and Administrative Courts), Supervisory Board, and Research and Development Board. The Construction process of this building began in 2007.
Chief Justice also symbolically inaugurated the Archives Building. The building that is situated at Pulo Mas, East Jakarta, will be used to accommodate a variety of important archives, such as the decisions of judges from time to time.
In addition, the Archives Building is also used as a museum that records the history of important events since pre-independence. The building is hoped to witness the historical existence of the Supreme Court as well as a place of learning for the judicial apparatus.
