One Director at Badilag Retires

Starting 1 February 2011, Director for the Development of Judicial Officer at Badilag, H.M. Zuffran Sabrie, retired after almost 32 years serving at the Directorate of Religious Courts. Pak Zuffran, was born in 1951 in Sibolga, South Sumatera.

He started his carrier at Religious Court of Buntok, Central Kalimantan. He was then moved to the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Jakarta as the Head Subdivision at the Directorate for the Development of Religious Courts. Starting 2004 he was trusted to hold the top position at the Directorate for the Development of Religious Courts Officers until he retired at the age of 60. .

“He is remarkably a brave and patient officer, even though he has been facing tough problems. Therefore, let’s pray for his goodness here and in the hereafter,” said H. Farid Ismail, Secretary to the DG Badilag, at the farewell party at Badilag’s office (31/1).

On his farewell speech, Zuffran Sabrie underlined four ‘cultures’ owned by Badilag, which impress him very much. The four cultures are sincere, hard work, efficient, and solid.

“It is these four cultures that have made Religious Courts (Badilag) so advanced today. And the four cultures can be effectively implemented because Badilag is led by a progressive Director General who always comes with new and fresh ideas,” said Zuffran Sabrie.

“I thank you very much for the trust. I also express my deepest apology for the mistakes I’ve made,” he said.

Meanwhile, Director General of Badilag, Wahyu Widiana, said that Pak Zuffran’s retirement was a great loss for Badilag. “On behalf of the DG of Badilag and my own, we thank you very much for your service. We say farewell and pray for you. God bless you,” DG Wahyu Widiana said. (c)
