Badilag-PEKKA Enhance Collaboration

Board of the PEKKA (Perempuan Kepala Keluarga/Association of Women Head of Household) visited the new offices of DG Badilag on Wednesday (02/02/2011). The arrival of the women activists was aimed to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions that have long been cooperating in the program of ‘Justice for All’."We intentionally invite PEKKA today to our office as a form of our appreciation to the activists of PEKKA. With this visit of PEKKA, we want to encourage our colleagues at Badilag to implement ‘Justice for All’ programs successfully and sincerely,“ said DG Badilag, Wahyyu Widiana. .
The board of PEKKA visiting Badilag consisted of the boards from the National Secretariat, West Java and Cianjur. They were welcomed by Director General, Secretary to the Directorate General and a number of officials from echelon III of the DG Badilag. Chief Judge of Cianjur Religious Court also attended the meeting.
Director General said for the last few years, PEKKA has given real and significant contribution to the poor seeking justice. PEKKA is not only recording the data of poor people, but also provides legal counseling and assistance in the judicial process.
"PEKKA has raised the dignity of women and children," said DG Wahyu Widiana, who recently visited the PEKKA Center in Cianjur, West Java.
In the future, the DG hopes, the collaboration between Badilag and PEKKA needs to be developed and enhanced. He also hopes that PEKKA can spread its reach to the need in other areas of the country. (c)
