DG Badilag Wahyu Widiana said that religious courts have been developing a ‘one stop service system’ to avoid illegal meetings between court officials/officers with litigants. The system needs to be effectively employed since the illegal meetings between court officials with litigants outside the court sessions lead to unfair presumption from other parties.
Wahyu Widiana delivered those statements on Tuesday evening (23/2) in front of approximately 300 civil servant candidates who are following pre-office training at the Supreme Court Training Center in Bogor, West Java. Under a paper titled ‘A Brief of DG Badilag and the Religious Courts’, Wahyu explained a number of Badilag’s programs and policies.
.
Some of the programs and policies, Wahyu explained a little more detailed about ‘Justice for All’ programs which become Badilag’s focus in 2011. he also mentioned program on improving human resources, public services, and the usage of Information technology.
DG Badilag asked all participants to actively use IT to support courts’ main tasks and functions. Quoting Dory Reiling in his book entitled ‘Technology for Justice’, wahyu said that IT is the most striking factor in changing the world in our era.
“The use of IT for public services and court transparency will reduce complaints from justice seekers to the courts,” he said.
“I therefore urge you all to always open websites at all court jurisdictions. It’s better if you provide suggestions and leave your comments on the webs,” Wahyu concluded. (c)
