“Technology For Justice”: is a Must

The usage of technolgy for justice is a must. It will enable judicial process become quick, cheap and tansparent. It finally also provides some important benefits for the justice seekers. DG of Badilag explaines the importance of technolgy for justice in opening the IT Development Training in Badung, Wednesday (March 3, 2011).
The training held in ITB’s campus, was a collaborative work between PTA Bandung and Information Source Unit of ITB. There were 65 participants from PTA Bandung and some religious courts in West Java.

Book on Technology for Justice
To give an emphasize on the importance of IT, DG of Badilag quotes some important things from a book titled “Technology for Justice: How Information Technology can Support Judicial Reform”, written by Dr. Dory Reiling, a judge of Amsterdam Court.
“Information Technology is the most striking factor in changing the world in our era”, said DG of Badilag quoting a sentence from Dory Reiling.
The participants
There are at least, three complaints addressed to all courts around the world in the past until now. They are 1. long court process, 2. not transparent 3. corruption in courts. The IT can be a problem solver for those three problems.
The Role of the Leaders and The Socialization
Accorting to Sugiarto, the Committee Officer, a leader will play an important role to make IT works in achieving the organization vision and mission. Therefore, a reward system is very important.
Dr. Basuki Suhardiman also states the same thing. According to him, the IT socialization is very urgent although it needs an expensive cost.

DG of Badilag conveys his gratitude to all religious court officers who devote their spirit and creativity in using IT to enhance the services provided.
PTA Bandung is one of the courts which is creative and energetic in developing of IT.
