Indonesian Supreme Court delegation visits Federal Shariat Court

ISLAMABAD, June 26 (APP): A delegation of Indonesian Supreme Court on Tuesday visited the Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan and called on Chief Justice Haziq-ul-Khairi.

The delegation was comprising of Justice Dr. Abdul Manan S.H, Justice Drs. H.Habib ur Rehman M.Hum, Justice Professor Dr.H.Muchsin S.H and Justice Saroko S.H.M.H, Dr. H.Wahyu Widiana, Director General Religious Arbitration, Drs.H.Zainuddin Fajari, S.H.M.H, Registrar of Religious civil case and Parwoto Wignijosumarto, S.H,Registrar of Special Civil Case, said a press release issued here today.

Chief Justice Haziq-ul-Khairi, Justice Allama Dr.Fida Muhammad Khan and Justice Salah-ud-Din Mirza received the distinguished guests and briefed them about the establishment, jurisdiction and important judgements delivered by the Federal Shariat Court so far.

The members of the delegation asked many questions about the economic system of Pakistan with specific reference to Islam. The delegation also visited the Federal Shariat Court building and chamber of the Chief Justice.

The members of the delegation were briefed about Riba judgement and its present status. The Chief Justice presented souvenir and set of books to the members of the delegation.
Both the sides agreed to continue mutual cooperation in judicial field.
