There are at least 46 religious courts providing legal aid post services for poor. It is based on the Circular Letter of the Supreme Court No. 10/2010 on Guidelines for Provision of Legal Aid.

The Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana, has observed some religious courts such as Religious Court of South Jakarta, Depok, Cianjur, Ciamis, Yogyakarta, Sleman, Surabaya, Tanjungkarang, Makassar, Manado and Jayapura.

Generally, Wahyu Widiana found that the legal aid post provided in those religious courts has run well. Because this service is relatively new to the Religious Courts, it just needs more improvements.
