Quality Assurance Team will immediately monitor and assess the performance of the Directorate of the Religious Courts (Badilag) in August until November 2011. The Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana informed about that when he installed eight officials of echelon IV of Badilag several days ago.
“A National Team will come to you and ask many things about your works. Please do not be surprised! Just do the best”, he said.
.
The main purpose of the assessment is to evaluate whether bureaucratic reform has succeeded or not. The Team will also monitor and assess all Religious Courts throughout Indonesia.
In the Supreme Courts and all courts, the bureaucratic reform itself has begun since 2006. Previously, in 2003, the Supreme Court commenced judicial reform. And now in the second semester of its reform, it can be said that it has completely implemented all strategic programs for the reform.
The reform refers to the Presidential Regulation no. 81/2010 on the Grand Design of Bureaucratic Reform 2010-2035 and the Regulation of State Apparatus and Administrative Reforms Ministry no. 20/2010 on Bureaucratic Reform Roadmap 2010-2014.
To embody its reform, the Supreme Court has evaluated its Blue Print 2003 and it has developed the new Blue Print 2010-2035. In this Blue Print, bureaucratic reform becomes the important focus.
One important reform programs of the Supreme Court is Quick Win. It consists of five urgent elements including verdict transparency, information technology development, non-tax revenue (PNBP) management, the judges’ code of conduct, and human resource management.
In so many occasions, Wahyu Widiana urgently asked all chiefs, apparatus, officials as well as judges in all Religious Courts understand the Quick Win very well. According to him, the reform will not succeed unless all apparatus and officials support it.
