DG Promotes Religious Courts in Australia

The success achieved by Religious Courts seems to attract a serious attention of the international community. This was proved by the invitation received by the Director General Wahyu Widiana asking him to present such speech at several important places in Australia.
During the week, from November 26th to December 3rd, the Director General will have been in Australia, accompanied by Secretary of the Supreme Court leader, Dr. Hasbi Hasan.
"The invitation is for Religious Courts. I only represent our comrades from Religious Courts, "said DG a few days ago, before departing the country.
During his visit in Australia, DG absolutely has a fairly solid schedule. At first, on Sunday afternoon, he attended the invitation of the Lowy Institute in Sydney. He was asked to deliver Key Note Address in the dialogue between Australia and Pakistan Thinkers on access to justice.
During the meeting Director General met with a number of important people from the Lowy Institute, such as Michael Wesley (Executive Director) and Anthony Bubalo (Program Director), and Rod Brazier (Ausaid).
. After submitting the presentation in Sydney, the Director General was scheduled to get flight to Melbourne, on Tuesday. He will follow a conference at Melbourne University, precisely at the Centre for Islamic Law and Society. This is a seventh graduate annual meeting.At this event, Director General will meet with Professor Tim Lindsey, one of the authors of "Courting Reform: Indonesia's Islamic Courts and Justice for the Poor", as well the Director of the Centre for Islamic Law and Society. In the same city in the afternoon, DG will also attend seminars and book launches.
On Wednesday, he will be scheduled to fly from Melbourne to Canberra. He will join a discussion in the Family Court of Australia as he travels to witness the progress of the Family Court of Australia.
On Thursday morning, DG will be scheduled to meet with the Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, the Honorable Robert French AC. The Honorable and Chief Executive Registrar eager to invite the Director General visit the High Court building.
In the afternoon, DG planned to join a meeting attended by representatives of Ausaid, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Office of National Assessments, the Ombudsman, Family Court of Australia, and the Attorney-General Department.
At this meeting, DG will present the speech focusing on advances achieved by the Religious Courts, particularly on improving access to justice in the last five years.
