The Founder of IACA got impressed with SIADPA

“Wonderful!” That was the spontaneuos responds of Markus Zimmer when listening to the explanation of Director General of Badilag about the implementation of SIADPA in the religious courts. The founder of International Association for Court Administration (IACA) came with the Project Director of Change for Justice (C4J) David Anderson and some colleagues to meet the Director General of Badilag on Thursday (3/8/2012).

One of the meeting agenda was to discuss the high official meeting that will be held by the Supreme Court in cooperation with C4J next week. The meeting will be held in Jakarta and will discuss about the case management information system, and the Director General of Badilag will be one of the main speakers.

“SIADPA is the information system of case management in the religious court. So SIADPA is the case managament system we apply.” The Director General of Badilag said.

. The Director General of Badilag explained that the application of SIADPA has been intalled in all units of religious court. “But so far, not all the religious court unit implement it in an optimal fashion.”

Zimmer got anxious. “What kind of software are you applying? Do you develop it by yourself?”
The Director General of Badilag explained that at the beginning, the SIADPA was provided by the corporate, but nowadays the application has been developing by Badilag itself, involving some experts of SIADPA from the religious courts. And the newest version of SIADPA is named SIADPA Plus.

Various efforts have made created by Badilag to activate the implementation of SIADPA. Apart from developing some trainings for the SIADPA administrators, Badilag also has established the National Team of SIADPA consisted of SIADPA experts, either from technological aspect or legal aspect. The team is tasked to develop the application and to be the trainers of SIADPA training.

Besides, the Director General explained, some community groups and discussion forums have emerged on the social networks to discuss everything about SIADPA. And to motivate the implementation of SIADPA, Directorate General of Badilag will hold a competition entitled “Religious Court Case Management System Awards”.

“Quite recently we have launched a laboratory for SIADPA.” The Director General added. The laboratory was designed along with the plot of the administration of case settlement in the religious court.

“In the SIADPA laboratory we are serving various kind of complaints and problems of SIADPA. Consultation is conducted by chatting.” The Director General said.

Markus Zimmer and his colleagus were then invited to look at the laboratory located at the floor 7 of the Supreme Court secretariat. And there they met Irwansyah, the Badilag official who is responsible for the operation of the laboratory.

“The court apparatus from the region can learn SIADPA here. And for the university students who would like to know the flow of case management in the religious court may visit the laboratory.” Irwansyah explained.

Listening to the explaination of Irwansyah, one of the colleagus of Markus Zimmer commented, “You have a high sense of belonging!”
