Will Remuneration for Courts Increase?

Quality Assurance Team will come to all courts, including Religious Courts. This team is led Mardiasmo, who is also head of Development and Finance Controller. It will assess whether the Supreme Court and its subordinate courts have made progress on bureaucracy reform or not.
Indonesian government made a committee for national bureaucracy reform. This committee is headed by Boediono, Indonesian vice president. In fact, it has two important team, namely Independent Team which is led by Erry Riyana and Quality Assurance Team which is led by Mardiasmo.
In response to assessment by the Quality Assurance Team, the Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana urges all leaderships of the Religious Courts prepare themselves.
At least there are eight areas, which will be focus by the team. It is in accordance with the regulation of the Ministry for State Apparatus Reform No. 53 of 2011. The areas include change management, regulation structuring, organization structuring, administration, human resources, supervision, accountability on work performance and public services.

“All courts must be solid in preparing everything when the team of auditors comes. It will be very important because it will have great impact on remuneration,” Wahyu Widiana said in the High Religious Court of Kendari, Friday (30/3/2012).
The Supreme Court pays great attention to assessment therefore the Chief Justice instructed eight officials of echelon I to explain the assessment and to supervise the preparation. Each official has responsibility to monitor at least three regions or provinces.
“We have to be well prepared in eight areas. Every court can coordinate with others. The team is really independent,” Wahyu Widiana said.
He also said that when apparatus of a court were still confused on eight area, they could get consultation from the Supreme Court or Badilag.
According to Wahyu Widiana, the team make an audit by gathering documents, interviewing, observing etc.
“Therefore we have to prepare all documents such as Standard Operational Procedure, decrees, attendance, minutes of meeting etc,’ he said.
