Beware of the fake facebook account in the name of Supreme Court Secretary

Are you a user of social network called Facebook and a friend of Nurhadi Hadi facebook account? If the answer were ‘yes’, so you may be careful for this most recently significant warning from the Supreme Court Secretary, Nurhadi.

‘This account is a fake, it doesn’t belong to me and i don’t run it, not on behalf of Supreme Court Secretary nor me myself personally’ Nurhadi wrote his statement on a letter dated 3 April 2012. Through this letter,  he also asked to all chief of courts to forward his message to every subordinates because he found that this account has been used for deception criminal means.

Meanwhile, based on the badilag.net review, this fake account has established by the middle of January 2012 and it has 340 friends up to now. The establisher of this account stated that he’s an Indonesia Supreme Court Secretary, lived in Jakarta, originally came from Jember n born on March 13rd, and in order to ensure that this account is not a fake, he set the photograph of ‘real’ Nurhadi as its profile picture.

Since the establishment, the user wrote on its wall rarely, as it has updated not more than twice on the wall and a single comment, nothing more, while the most prominent activity was add some friends. But interestingly, many friends on this account were congratulating the user’s birthday two months ago, those are pals of religious courts mostly instead.

. Not the first one.

This fake Supreme Court Secretary facebook account is not the first one, for there were an account named Rum Nessa, the ex-secretary, and it has caught some deceited people as victims. A man from the courts institution on a facebook group claimed that there was someone deceited through this fake account by transfering a 15 million rupiahs for a reassignment promises as the account named Rum Nessa as an active Indonesia Supreme Court Secretary and set his photograph as a profile picture.

Some other facebook users recognized it as a real Rum Nessa’s account without any suspicious sense and they rushed for being a friend to the account and taht was where the idle user started to commit the deception. The modus were by promising reassignment to a certain court or being elected in judges/officials candidate selection by transferring some cash to a certain saving account, some people believe it was and they had been deceited eventually.

The Supreme Court didn’t do nothing, receiving some complaints, its legal bureau and public relation affairs soon issued an announcement (pengumuman elektronik) regarding this fake facebook profile including the official statement of Rum Nessa himself which emphasized that the account was a fake. He also mentioned by his letter dated May 3rd, 2010 for everyone in corps of courts to disconnect friendship linked to this account since the account was used as a means of deception.
Beware everyone.... It could happen anytime, anywhere, to anyone.
