“We are going to start running the program I work for in Indonesia, starting from the meeting with the Religious Court people, and the Supreme Court in general,” said the Ambassador who is also fluent in English.

In addition to the introducing himself as the new Ambassador in Jakarta, Abdel Rahman brings a special invitation from the Chief Justice of the Republic of Sudan to the Chief Justice of the Republic of Indonesia to attend the 3rd Conference of the Chief Justice of the Arab States to be held on ​​September 23-25, 2012, in Khortoum.

The Ambassador hoped the conference will be attended by the Chief Justices of the Arab countries, as a medium to exchange information and experience in the field of Islamic law and justice, which would be beneficial to Indonesia as the largest Muslim country in the world.

Director General expressed his pleasure on this visit, and will immediately report to the Chief Justice of the Republic of Indonesia. “We will try to facilitate a meeting between the Honorable Ambassador and the Honorable Chief Justice,” said the Director General responding the Ambassador’s expectation.

In addition, Wahyu Widiana hopes the cooperation that has been built by the former Ambassador can be transmitted, considering the tight relationship between Indonesia and Sudan, especially in terms of judicial information and experience exchanges.

The Ambassador asserted his readiness to facilitate what Indonesia needs, in terms of human resource development in the judiciary system. "I am ready to support the cooperation between Indonesia and Sudan Supreme Courts. I am also ready to facilitate the implementation of the existing Memorandum of Understanding.
