Deputy Chief Justice of Religious Court Affairs: Now is the Era of Religious Court Revival

Held at the Hall of High Religious Court of Makassar, the Deputy Chief Justice of Religious Court Environment Dr.H.Andi Syamsu Alam, SH., MH., accompanied by the Special Staff of the Supreme Court Drs.H.M. Rum Nessa, SH., MH., Chief Judge of the High Religious Court of Makassar Drs. H.M. Hasan H. Muhammad, SH., MH., Vice Chief Judge of the High Religious Court of Makassar Drs. Bahrussam Yunus, SH., MH., to guide the entire High Court judges, as well as the Chief Judges and the Registrar/Secretary of the Religious Courts under the region of High Religious Court of Makassar.
In the prologue of his speech, The Deputy Chief Justice warns that we have donated ourselves to the Religious Court, so that all religious court people must hardly work to develop religious court, because now is the era of religious court revival.
Further, Dr. H. Andi Syamsu Alam, SH., MH., in his presentation emphasizes three important aspects for all religious court people to well understand. They are general administration, technical mastership and tennis expertise.

According to the Deputy Chief Justice, Human resource development becomes essential to care. It can be reached by increasing the level of formal education up to the doctoral level. In addition, human resource development can be reached by leveraging the expertise in the sport field, such as tennis. This is to respond to the counter-opinion that the religious courts people only advanced in spiritual matters but lack of sport activities, as well as to accustom to the culture within the Supreme Court, so that religious court people will not be assessed as an exclusive community.
Also giving a brief guidance is the special staff of the Supreme Court Drs. H.M. Rum Nessa, SH., MH., emphasizing that the current paradigm of service totally is different from the past.
“In the past, there were judicial officers who demanded sort of services as a return of the service he or she provided. But now, this paradigm no longer accepted because the main task of judicial officers is providing services,” stated Rum Nessa.
Specifically, Rum Nessa reminded the leaders of religious courts of Makassar region to be more cautious regarding their policy. He warned not try to make such a financial related policy, because it could be judged as corruption if there were such a mistake. [Shofa Qolbi]
