Badilag and UIN Alauddin of Makassar Signed MoU

Directorate General of Badilag inaugurated the cooperation with Shariah and Law Faculty of UIN Alauddin of Makassar. The cooperation was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Director General of Badilag, Wahyu Widiana and the Dean of Shariah and Law Faculty of UIN Alauddin, Prof. DR. H. Ali Parman, MA., on Thursday (07/12/2012).

The signing of MoU was held at the Auditorium of the UIN Alauddin and was witnessed by the Rector of UIN Alauddin, Prof. DR. H. Abd. Qadir Gassing, MS and the Chief of Makassar High Religious Court, Drs. H. M. Hassan H. Muhammad, SH., MH.

The MoU itself was the follow up of the other MoU signed by the Chief Justice of the Indonesia Supreme Court and the Rector of UIN Alauddin of Makassar some months ago. And the scope of MoU including the development of human resources through education, research and community service, particularly in the field of law.

. “I really appreciate the MoU, because although the Religious Court structurally has different ministry and organization with Shariah Faculty, but culturally they are inseparable. Our motto remains the same, sincerity in action.” Director of Badilag stated while addressing his speach.

After signing the MoU, Wahyu Widiana delivered a public lecture on the one hundred and thirty years of religious court. The lecture was attended by all the high judges of Makassar High Religious Court, the chief of some religious courts, as well as the students and lecturers of Shariah and Law Faculty of UIN Alauddin of Makassar.
