On Sunday evening (8/26/2012), there was a meeting between the former and the current officials of Badilag in Ciawi, Bogor. The meeting, which took place in the Islamic Development Foundation, was part of leaders’ gathering aimed to obtain sort of ideas in conjunction with the commemoration of 130 years of Religious Courts establishment.
From the left: Durminto, MH., Drs. H. Hariri YS., MH., H. Marzuki, Drs. H. A. Sukin, SH., Wahyu Widiana, MA., Drs. H. Kadi S, Drs. H. Zuffran Sabrie, MH., Arief Gunawasyah, SH, MH., Aziz Falahuddin, MH.
Among the attendances was Mr. Marzuki (75 years old), the former Head of Domestic Affairs within the Directorate of Religious Court. He is about 30 years of retirement. Mr. Sukin (74 years old), the former Head of Administration, Head of Sub Directorate of Personnel and Facilities, and then Head of Equipment Bureau in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and now is the lecture in the State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta, also participated in the meeting.
. Another attendance was Mr. Kadi (75 years old). He is the former Head of Sub Directorate of Personnel and Facilities, who later became judge as well as Chief Judge of North Jakarta Religious Court. There was also Mr. Zuffran Sabrie (61 years old), the former Director of Technical Personnel of Badilag, who retired on the early last year. Pak Hariri (60 years old) was also among the attendances. He is the former Head of Sub Directorate of Personnel and Facilities, who then became Head of Planning and Organization Bureau in the Supreme Court, and currently is a High Judge of Corruption Crime in the High Court of Banten. From Badilag, there were the Director General Mr. Wahyu Widiana, Arif, Durminto and Aziz. The last is Sahwan from Bureau of Planning and Organization in the Supreme Court.
Although he is no longer young, Mr. Sukin still has a very sharp view. In the dialogue, Mr. Sukin proposed an idea that the 130 years commemoration of Religious Courts should have a particular focus which could encourage Religious Court people to be more advanced and developed in the future.
Responding this idea, Pak Hariri emphasized on the achievements of Badilag so far as the focus of this year commemoration.
"A lot of praises addressed to the religious courts regarding the development of information technology," said Mr. Hariri, as he suggested that IT progress could be the focus of the commemoration.
However, Mr. Hariri asked the Religious Court throughout the country should be reminded to consistently utilize information technology, especially in administering the cases.
“I heard from the outsiders about several Religious Courts which do not adopt yet information technology in administering cases and informing the case tracks to the public. This actually happened in a forum when certain Religious Courts are unable to display the information of case track through the use of information technology. Badly, their system was inaccessible, said Mr. Hariri.
Furthermore, Mr. Hariri asked Mr. Wahyu Widiana to instruct all Religious Courts’ leaders making a serious effort in terms of optimizing information technology so that people can anytime and anywhere access information about the case.
Wahyu Widiana, the Director General of Religious Court Body, honestly feels the suggestion from Mr. Sukin and Mr. Hariri is truly parallel with his expectation about the focus of this year commemoration. “That is why we issue about 15 documentary books related to the achievements of Religious Courts so far,” stated Wahyu Widiana.
In addition, the achievements so far in terms of information technology, the program of ‘justice for the poor’, as well as the cooperation and the introduction of Religious Court into the international community, can hopefully be perpetuated on a gallery which is to be built in Badilag office.
“The goal is clear. It is to encourage our generation to more seriously intensify the services to the justice seekers and make Religious Court as a trusted public institution, in both national and international level", said Wahyu.
Wahyu also discussed more about the next various programs with his old colleagues. They looked so enthusiastic and fully support the programs of Badilag. [Shofa Qolbi]
