The Challenge of Religious Court Increasingly Difficult

The Non-Judicial Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Dr. H. Ahmad Kamil, SH., M.Hum. said that in the future the challenge of Religious Courts will be more difficult and extremely wide.
“We all cannot predict what might happen in the future,” said Ahmad Kamil, while delivering guiding speech in front of the participants of technical guidance (bintek), in Mercure Hotel, Ancol, (16/9/2012).

That is why Religious Court people should enhance an individual ability through continuing education to the higher level.
The Vice Chief Justice told the story about the 1980-ies, when the age of Religious Court was about a hundred years. Ahmad Kamil told that almost all Religious Court apparatus, especially judges, only gained BA (Bachelor of Arts). Only few gained an undergraduate degree of study.
“In the past, we can count how many judges have a S1 degree, but now as time goes by, many judges already hold S2 or even S3 degree. This is really a great achievement, “Ahmad Kamil asserts.
The Vice Chief Justice added what we have already hold nowadays cannot be separated from the role of our predecessors. Hence, Religious Court people should maintain what our predecessors had contributed.
Meanwhile, the Director of Technical Personnel of Badilag, Drs. H. Purwosusilo, SH., MH., told that Technical Guidance Program (Bintek) this time aimed to deepen our insight related to the Supreme Court policies, the case examination techniques, file review, as well as verdict construction techniques.
The speakers of the Bintek were the Vice Chief Justice Dr. Ahmad Kamil, SH., M.Hum., Deputy Chief Justice for Religious Court Affairs Dr. H. Andi Syamsu Alam, SH., MH., the Director General of Religious Court Body Drs. H. Wahyu Widiana, MA., and some of High Courts figures. [SQ]
