Format of Verdict Will be Discussed in National Working Meeting

One important discussion in National Working Meeting which will be held on October 28 to November 1, 2012 in Manado will be on format of verdicts.

According to Deputy Chief Justice for Religious Court Affairs, the Hon. Andi Syamsu Alam, the main purpose of discussion is to create the same format of verdict for all Religious Courts.

The theme of the National Working Meeting is the Implementation of chamber system in creating legal unity and in enhancing judges’ professionalism.

There will be two kinds of discussion in the National Working Meeting, commission and plenary discussion. Participants will discuss on format of verdict in plenary discussion.

Justice, Prof Abdul Manan agreed with Andi Syamsu Alam that format of verdict will be deeply discussed in the National Working Meeting. He and his team have studied some formats of verdicts.

A verdict commonly consists of some elements, head, identity and legal standing of parties, core of cases, consideration, injunction and foot of verdict.
