SBY Has Signed Regulation on Judge Salary

The good news has come. SBY has signed the Regulation on Financial Rights and Facilities for Judge. Delivered this good news was the Chief Justice Hatta Ali during his speech in the closing ceremony of the National Annual Meeting of the Supreme Court in Manado, 2012-11-01.

“Alhamdulillah, our effort since the beginning of this year has engendered a tangible result,” said the Chief Justice who immediately greeted with applause by participants of the meeting. .

The Chief Justice told on Thursday evening, October 29, that SBY had signed the Regulation number 94/2012 and will be effective no later than January 2013. However, the Regulation prevails only for judges of the first instance and appeal. This appears not as good as that for The Honorable Justices in the Supreme Court. Hence, the Chief Justice asserted that the Supreme Court will always make an effort to upgrade Justices’ welfare.

Meanwhile, the Chief Justice demanded to all judges all around the country to earnestly spur the performance and in the same time to avoid any single action against the law and code of ethics.

“We have been awarded with good basic salary and allowances. I strongly urge for all judges to enhance their self-conscious and services toward justice seekers,” said Hatta Ali.

Hatta also instructed Deputy Chief Justice for Supervision and Supervision Board to intensively encourage the supervision task. The same instruction he addressed to Appeal Court leaders.
