Corstens, the president of Hoge Raad of the Netherland visited the Directorate General of the Religious Courts (Badilag), Monday (18/03/2013). In the morning, Corstens signed a MoU between the Hoge Raad and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta.
He visited Badilag’s office with a delegates including Mr. J.A.C.A. Overgaauw (Vice President of the Hoge Raad), Mr. M.A. Loth (Justice of the Hoge Raad), Mr. J. Storm (Registrar of the Hoge Raad), A.R. Rotscheid (Case Adiministration Director of the Hoge Raad) and Dr. Sebastian Pompe (an expert for legal reform).
Justice Prof. Takdir Rachmadi brought the delegates to Badilag’s office. The delegates were welcomed by Purwosusilo (Director General of Badilag), Cicut Sutiarso (Director General of Badilum), Sulistyo (Director of Badimiltun), Syarifuddin (Head of Supervision Board), Siti Nurjanah (Head of Education and Training Center Board) and some officials of echelon II and II.
.Purwosusilo said that he and his colleagues were very happy getting an honor visit from the Hoge Raad of the Netherlands.
In a meeting, Purwosusilo explained about the new secretariat building of the Supreme Court which located at Ahmad Yani Street, Central Jakarta.
“We have a gallery, laboratory for Application System for Case Management (called SIADPA) and laboratory for Application System of Personnel Management. I hope you could see them. We need your suggestion for their improvement,” Purwosusilo said to the delegates.
Corstens said that he was very happy that he could visit the secretariat building.
“We want to see museum and mosque. We are interested to see what we do not have in our country,” he said.
Accompanied by Achmad Cholil and Rahmat Arijaya who served as the interpreter, Purwosusilo showed some historical objects displayed in the gallery. There are old decisions in hand writing, souvenirs, old toga, books published by Badilag, stencil machine, Arabic typewriter and others.
He also explained on the development of the Religious Courts from time to time.
“I am very impressed by this unique museum and wish you much success with its development,” Corstens wrote his comment in a big paper.
In the seventh floor of the building, Corstens got deep explanation from Purwosusilo relating to the laboratory of SIADPA and the implementation of case management system.
The laboratory is used to monitor incoming and decided cases in all Religious Courts throughout Indonesia. It is also used to develop the case management system.
Purwosusilo also explained on the advantages of SIMPEG laboratory. Badilag has developed a system for personnel management since several years ago. The system is called SIMPEG. It is very useful to organize everything regarding with human resource management.
“We saw that all courts had delivered excellent service to justice seekers and it is our main task to serve our employees by using this system,” Purwosusilo said.
He mentioned that by using the system, personnel management can be carried out much faster and easier than manual ways. It can cut 15 chains of administration which are very slow and ineffective.
He realized that the system needs some improvements.
