Gender Equality to be Taken Seriously by Badilag

Directorate General of Badilag paid a serious attention to gender equality. One of the sort of attentions was proven by the balanced amount of participants between male and female in every technical training conducted by Badilag.
The Secretary of Directorate General of Badilag, Farid Ismail explained that so far the leaders of Badilag requested the staff to pay attention to the amount of male and female participants, either for the training held by Badilag or candidate participants requested to Badilag.
“We have a serious attention to the issue.” Farid Ismail explained while delivering an introductory remarks in the training of Religious Court Substitute Registrars held in Garden Palace Hotel, Banda Aceh (05/21/2013).

“Of 30 participants of the training, 16 participants of them are male and the rests are female.” He said.
According to him, women are not the minority who are always placed under the men in all respects. He exemplified by the big amount of women appointed as the leaders of Religious Court.
Quite recently, the Minister of Women Empowerment and Children Protection of Indonesia requested all government agencies to pay a serious attention to gender equality.
In the other part of his remarks, Farid Ismail explained that in Indonesian Judiciary there are many women-judges. While in other countries, such as Jordan, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, all the judges are men.
