Jakarta l Badilag.net/english

Former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Prof. Jimly Asshiddiqie gave high appreciation to the religious courts when speaking at a seminar themed "Management of Judges as State Officials" at the Judicial Commission (KY) office on Tuesday (09/09/2014).

"I see that the religious courts have been developed. The use of IT by the courts is already advanced. That could be made an example," he said before Vice Chief Justice for Non-Judicial Affairs, justices, commissioners of KY, DG Badilum, DG Badimiltun, Chairman of the Supreme Court’s Training Center, and a number of other attendants.

.

Prof. Jimly further hoped that the court system of governance should be IT-based and certified, through the ISO for instance.

By doing so, according to Jimly, the court would be a more convenient place for justice seekers and its officers, especially the judges.

DG Badilag, Purwosusilo who alse attended the seminar, was happy to hear the praise for the religious courts from a highly respected figure in the country.

"He is certainly objective in his assessments," he said, to Badilag.net.

All religious courts officers, Purwosusilo said, should be more motivated to be better in performing their services to the courts clients.
