DG Badilag and Vice Chief Judge of PTA Surabaya Appointed Justices

The long process of the test ended up on Thursday, 18-09-2014 with a satisfying result. Purwosusilo and Amran Suadi, the participants of justice candidate test, finally won the vote from Commission III to nominate as Supreme Court justices. Each collected 38 votes from a total 50 members of the Commission. According to the rule, the participant has to reach 50% plus one vote which equals 26 votes to be able to propose as a justice in the Supreme Court.
At first, on Monday (1/9), Purwosusilo, DG of Badilag, and Amran Suadi, Vice Chief Judge of PTA Surabaya, participated in writing paper test in the Commission building. Furthermore, on Thursday (11/9) both took part in fit and proper test.
Following the Commission approval for Amran and Purwosusilo to nominate Supreme Court justice, the Commission will further forward their names to the President to endorse.
Welcomed the result of the voting, Badilag’s officials and employees congratulated Purwosusilo, while he looked so impressed with the announcement of the Commission.
“Thank you, thanks for your support and hope. Thank you so much,” said Purwosusilo to officials and employees of Badilag.
Purwosusilo looked so grateful for this memorable moment in his life. One step remains for him to sit in the bench of the Supreme Court justice. Congratulation!
Other candidates who won the vote were Sudrajad Dimyati and Is Sudaryono whose backgrounds were from general court. Meanwhile, Muslich Bambang Luqmono had not enough vote to reach a seat in the ranks of Supreme Court justices. [SQ]
