DG of Badilag Appreciates All Apparatus

At the end of 2011, the Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana delivered his great appreciation to all apparatus of the Religious Courts.

“I appreciate and thank to my colleagues working in all Religious Courts for their very good job in 2011. There are so many proud achievements made,” he said.

He also hoped that all apparatus could maintain their performance of work in 2012 principally in delivering excellent services to clients.

Some important achievement made in 2011 include the improvement of human resources, the compilation of Sharia Economic Law, the compilation of the procedural law for Shari Economic, the implementation of SIADPA (case management system), the development of websiste and of SIMPEG, programs of Justice for the Poor, Information Desk. All programs run very well and produce some significant results.

Wahyu Widiana explained that in 2011 Badilag has successfully developed new method of workshop and of case study. The method was aimed to improve capacity of judges and other apparatus of the Religious Courts particularly in mastering substantive law, procedural law and system of case administration and controlling.

Indonesian - Jordanian Supreme Courts to Establish International Cooperation

After a successful cooperation with the Republic of Sudan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in terms of strengthening human resource, the Indonesian Supreme Court  explored cooperation with The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. And on 20 to 24 December 2011, Indonesian Supreme Court delegation was visiting the Supreme Court of Jordan, in Amman.

Jordan is expected to support the acceleration of human resource strengthening for Indonesian justice considering the potential of the Kingdom in several fields, especially Islamic economics and the family laws system.

A series of activities during the visit has been prepared by the team of Indonesian Supreme Court involving the active participation of the Indonesian Embassy in Amman and the Supreme Court of Jordan. One hour after landing at Queen Alia International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by the Chief Justice of Jordan, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Muhammed Hulail as the Honorable is also the high priest of the Kingdom in his office. Attending the welcome ceremony were the leaders of Jordan Supreme Court as well as the Indonesian Ambassador, Dr. Zainul Bahar.

The Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana emphasized the importance of SIADPA that must be utilized in all Religious Courts. The program will enable courts to perform their main task very well.

“We pay a serious attention to the implementation of this program and we also develop it continuously,” he said.

Recently, the Directorate General of the Religious Courts held a workshop on the Accomplishment and Validation of SIADPA, in Bandung. It was attended by the Deputy Chief Justice for Religious Court Affairs, the Hon. Dr.H. Andi Syamsu Alam, SH, MH, the Deputy Chief Justice for Development, the Hon. Widayatno Sastro Hardjono, SH, M.Sc, justice, the Hon. Prof Dr. H. Abdul Manan, SH., S.I.P, M.Hum and others.

The Supreme Court Has Four New Officials of Echelon I

New Four officials of echelon I are sworn in by the Chief Justice, Harifin A Tumpa in a inauguration ceremony at Kusuma Atmadja Room, Supreme Court’s Building, on Thursday, December 22, 2011.

The officials are Suroso Ono, SH, MH (as Registrar), Nurhadi, SH, MH (as Secretary), Dr. Aco Nur, SH, MH (as head of Board of Administration Affairs) and Siti Nurjanah, SH, MH (as Head of Board of Research, Development, Education, and Training of Law And Judiciary).

Soruso Ono is the former junior registrar for specific criminal cases. He substitutes H. Suhadi, SH, MH. Nurhadi who is the former head of Bureau of Law and Public Relations substitutes Drs.H.M. Rum Nessa, SH, MH (the former secretary). Aco Nur who is the former head of bureau of personnel substitutes Dr.H. Subagyo, SH, MM.

The Accomplishment and Validation of SIADPA:

The Development of SIADPA Works Well, Even Without Sufficient Budget

Some breakthroughs initiated by Directorate General of Religious Court to improve the performance of the religious courts are motivated by “enthusiastic capital”. One of them was the development of SIADPA (Case Management System of Religious Court).

Those were the points of speech delivered by Director General of Religious Court, Wahyu Widiana while opening the Accomplishment and Validation of SIADPA/SIADPTA Application organized by Directorate of Administration Development of Religious Courts that will be held on December 20th to 22nd. The program was followed by 34 participants consisting of judges, registrars, junior registrars, bailiffs and the administrators of SIADPA.

Wahyu Widiana expressed his pride in the development of SIADPA that has much helped the religious courts to settle the cases filed by the justice seekers. Even without specific budget, the program of development can be conducted successfully.
