Supreme Court Applies LPSE

Supreme Court starts to apply an electronic system for procurement service. It is called “LPSE”. This system has been developed since 2012.

Figur Hasmana, who is one of team member for the implementation of this program, said that supporting infra-structure has been available. Supreme Court has server, storage with capacity of 2 terabyte, and internet bandwidth.

Figur also said that Supreme Court is still waiting for endorsement from the Ministry of Finance.

LPSE adopts manual system. Therefore, both systems are almost the same. LPSE is supported by online system. By this system, it will be more efficient, effective, transparent, and fair.

The implementation of this system will enable providers to participate the process of tender fairly.

Tender document in this system has been protected by data encryption and decryption.

IDR 321 Billion Capital Expenditure for Religious Courts

Religious Court of West Jakarta often flooded during rainy season

The Supreme Court has allocated capital expenditure budget for Religious Courts in 2013 as much IDR 321,7 billion. The budget will be applied in various programs, such as land procurement for office building as well as provision of motorcycles.

Taken from the capital expenditure budget, IDR 36.7 billion will be allocated to provide land for three office buildings.

The Number of the Religious Courts Increased Time to Time

In their history, the Religious Courts had faced crucial challenge relating to their jurisdiction in handling cases. However, the number of them has been increasing from one period to period.

For example, during Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage was issued, the number of the Religious Courts was 258. At that time, there were only 8 appeal courts.

The number increased to 268 courts which included 10 appeal courts. It was 100 years after their establishment.

The Religious Courts finally had their own Law in 1989. The House of Representative issued Law No. 7 of 1989 on the Religious Courts. At that time, the number of the Religious Courts were 352 consisting of 327 first instance courts and 25 appeal courts.

Indonesian Judge Association Released a New Website

Indonesian Judge Association which is well known as IKAHI released its new website. The website can be accessed at http://ikahi.mahkamahagung.go.id/.

According to Dr. H. Mohammad Saleh, S.H., M.H., the chairman of this association, the website will be utilized as communication media among judges across the country. They can share any information regarding with judiciary.

He said that by this website all judges will be able to contribute articles on law and other interesting information.

Mohammad Saleh also hoped that the website will be worth to enhance integrity and professionalism of judges.

Capital Expenditure for 135 Working Units is Already Defined

Administration Board of the Supreme Court has defined the budget of capital expenditure for 135 working units for 2013.

The budget is allocated for courts of four jurisdictions. It complies with an official letter issued by head of administrative board of the Supreme Court, dated January 14, 2013.

The Religious Court of West Jakarta gets approximately Rp. 40 billions. Rp. 29.7 billions is allocated for land and Rp. 10.3 billions is allocated for building construction. Supreme Court has special attention to reconstruction of this court due to floods. This court is often hit by floods.
