Training on Shari’a Economic at Saudi Arabia Completed

40 judges of the Religious Courts have been participated training on shari’a economic at Islamic University of al-Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud, Saudi Arabia since last month. The training ended on Tuesday (12/6).

One day before, all participants were invited by the rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Bin Abdullah Aba al-Khail. He hoped that the training would be very beneficial for judges in developing the Religious Courts in Indonesia.

Having finished the training, all judges deserved to hold a certificated issued by the university.

Badilag Monitored the Implementation of SIADPA

The Directorate General of the Religious Courts (known as Badilag) monitored and evaluated the implementation of SIADPA Plus. SIADPA Plus is a case management application system. It is a sophisticate software administering all cases in the Religious Courts across the country.

The team of Badilag had chosen four high religious courts which were monitored, namely High Religious Court of Mataram, Manado, Kupang and Pekanbaru. This monitoring has been held for four days, 4-9 of June, 2012.

Initially, it was planned that the monitoring would be held in Bandung by involving some religious courts. But, the planning was changed due to some reasons.

Reward and Punishment Should Be Balanced

Shari’a Faculty of Islamic State University of Gunung Jati Bandung held a national seminar. The theme of this seminar was “Revitalizing the Role and the Function of the Judicial Commission in Supervision of Law Enforcement in Indonesia”, Bandung, Saturday (26/5).

This seminar successfully invited some speakers including Prof. Dr. Eman Suparman, SH, MH (chief of Judicial Commission), Drs.H.Wahyu Widiana, MA (Director General of Badilag), Dr. Suparman Marzuki, SH, M.Si (member of Judicial Commission), Didi Irawadi, S.H, M.H (member of House of Representative), dan Prof. Dr.H. Rahmat Syafe’i, Lc., MA (scholar).

It was attended by a number of academicians, legal practitioners, judges and others.

In his presentation, Wahyu Widiana said that balance in giving punishment and reward is a must. The Judicial Commission should pay a great attention to this.

Preparation for Anniversary of 130 Years of the Religious Courts

The Directorate General of the Religious Courts (Badilag) is making some preparations to hold anniversary of 130 years of the Religious Courts. A committee for the activity is preparing to publish some books of which will be launched at the anniversary.

Last week, the committee was discussing on the format of program. There were two kinds of program format emerging in the discussion. The first format would be national seminar with book review. Second would be a speech by the Chief Justice on the Religious Court in its history. It would be followed by launching of some books and awarding.

According to Wahyu Widiana, the Director General of the Religious Courts, the second format would be better.

The program will be held at the beginning of September. The committee actually had planned that the program would be held in June 30, but it would be very short in time. Therefore, the schedule is rearranged.

Wahyu Widiana and Arief expected that the draft of all books be accomplished at the beginning of June. .

 

Ten New Officials of Echelon IV Are Installed

The Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana installed ten new officials of Echelon IV working at the Directorate General of the Religious Courts (known as Badilag).  The inauguration ceremony is held at 11th floor of Secretariat Building of the Supreme Court.

Ten new officials were Fenny Sulistyaningsih, Susi Ari Purwanti, Bambang Subroto, Rafiuddin, Nurul Huda, Rosiah, Tristi Sri Setiawati, Achmad Suyatno, Tohir, and Chrisnayeti.

In his speech, Wahyu Widiana congratulated ten new officials and hopes them can improve their work performance. He also appreciated those who worked well.

According to him, leadership of Badilag recognized that some staffs deserve to be installed as officials of echelon IV. They have been showing their good performance of work. In this case, Badilag promotes some of them for better position. .
