The Court Fees Information Can Be Accessed Online

The religious courts in the area of Jakarta High Religious Courts became more transparent. After the case information (such as hearing schedule, date of decree, and divorce act) can be accessed online, and now the information of court fees can be accessed in real time by website.

For the time being, the information of court fees can be accessed through portal.pta-jakarta.go.id and be able to show the information of first instance religious courts in Jakarta. This new menu completes the previous menus such as name searchings, the case details, the filed case, the hearing schedule, the decided case, the revoked case, the case handled more than 6 months, and the divorce act.

According to the deputy registrar of Jakarta High Religious Court, Drs. Achmad Jufri, SH., MH., the new menu is intended to provide a broader access to the court fees paid to the religious court and their detail expenses. “The menu will be presented before the Commission III of the House Representative members who will visit the Jakarta HRC on Tuesday, December 20th, 2011 as the important point of services and public transparency.” Jufri said.

Badilag and Family Court Held Information Desk Workshop

For three days, December 12 to 14, 2011, Directorate General of Badilag in collaboration with the Family Court of Australia, facilitated by Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ) held a workshop on Information Desk in Jakarta.

30 participants attended this event. They were representatives of MSY Aceh and High Religious Courts throughout Indonesia.

Monday (12/12/2011) morning, the event was opened by Director General of Badilag Wahyu Widiana. On behalf of the Supreme Court leaders, Director General of Badilag thanked Ausaid, AIPJ and Family Court.

The workshop, according to the Director General, will not be possible without the good cooperation with the Australian side. The workshop also demonstrated the existence of continuity of the cooperation, starting six years ago when Directorate General of Badilag started learning to implement information technology to modernize the religious courts. .

"The high divorce rate in East Java to be reduced!", Deputy Governor of East Java, H. Saifullah Yusuf said on his visit to Surabaya High Religious Court in order to establish the communication to solve problems that occur in East Java, particularly the high divorce rate. (12/05)

According to Gus Ipul, the nickname of H. Saifullah Yusuf, the divorce rate in Indonesia has an increasing trend with more than 10% per year.

Meanwhile, according to data from East Java Ministry of Religious Affairs and Surabaya High Religious Court, the marriage data in 2010 reached 380,000 marriages, while the divorce rate reached 65,000 cases. So it can be calculated divorce rate in East Java in 2010 reached 17%, which means higher than the average divorce rates in Indonesia.

Badilag to Prepare National Online Case Information System and Case Report

Directorate General of Badilag continues to explore new ideas for improving public services and increasing the performance. One of the new ideas is the creation of National Online Case Information System and Case Report.

The Online Case Information System and Case Report is being prepared by the National Team of SIADPA Plus in the meeting entitled The Evaluation and the Development of SIADPA Plus at Topas Hotel, Bandung. As it was informed previously, the meeting was conducted by the Directorate of Administration Development of Religious Court.

According to the chairman of the National Team of SIADPA Plus, Irwansyah, SH., MH, the out put of this event is the formation of online case information system. "The Online Case Information System will be applied nationally and is expected to become a national standard", Irwansyah said.

The team now are "struggling" to design and accomplish the application. "Hopefully, at the second stage of the meeting (Dec 5 to Dec 9) all applications would be accomplished with their tutorials." Irwansyah said.

It is planned that the applications will be on trial in some religious courts. There are at least nine religious courts that will get the trial, namely Malang Regency RC, Cilegon RC, Mungkid RC, Ternate RC, Bengkulu RC, Jogjakarta RC, Medan RC, Mataram RC and Kupang RC. And at least there are 23 members of SIADPA Plus National Team will be deployed to the regions to monitor the trial.

Badilag Develops Arabic version of Shariah
Economic Law Compilation (KHES)

At the beginning of the Islamic New Year of 1433 AH, Religious Court recorded a success story by developing the Arabic version of Shariah Economic Law Compilation.  A team consisted of seven judges was appointed to conduct the translation, namely Nasich Salam Suharto, LC., LLM. (Team Leader—a judge of Kalianda RC), Abdul Halim Soleh, LC., M.Ec. (a judge of Gunung Sugih RC), DR.Muh. Arasy Latif, MA., (a judge of Unaha RC), Mahrus Abdur Rohim, LC., MH. (a judge of Sanggau RC), Soleh Zainuddin, LC., MA. (a judge of Manna RC), Armansyah, LC., MH. (a judge of Rengat RC), and Edi Hudiata, LC. (a judge candidate of Tangerang RC).

The translation program of Shariah Economic Law Compilation which was officially opened by the head of general affairs of Badilag, Arif Gunawansyah, SH., MH., conducted at Endah Parahyangan Hotel, Bandung on November 30th to December 3rd. The team translated and discussed about 790 articles of the KHES.
