Jakarta | badilag.net

The Directorate of Religious Courts uses the new version of SIMPEG called SIMKEP. The both are the information system programs on personnel management.

SIMKEP provides more complete features than SIMPEG. SIMPEG is a desktop-based application program meanwhile SIMKEP is a web-based application program. SIMKEP can be installed to any computer, irrespective of system operation installed. The users of SIMKEP can access the program from anywhere and anytime they are.

“This is really a sophisticated program. We need to socialize it immediately to all Religious Courts”, Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana said in a meeting with all echelons in Jakarta, Monday (9/5/2011).

As many appreciations addressed to Religious Courts regarding their excellent performance in terms of providing public services, this should be a momentum to more and more enhance the services. The statement declared by DG, Wahyu Widiana, in the opening ceremony of Judicial Guidance and Code of Ethics Socialization for Religious Court judges in Jayapura Religious High Court jurisdiction, Tuesday (4/19/2011).

Quoting Cate Sumner and Tim Lindsey survey, published in “Reformasi Peradilan Pasca Orde Baru” DG challenges all judicial apparatus to prove whether Religious Courts are the best state institutions in terms of truthfulness and effectiveness or not, as the survey investigated. To do so, DG emphasizes that quality improvement in providing public services is the only measurement to assess the success of Religious Court as described by the survey. .

Jakarta, Badilag.net |22-04-2011|

To support national program on access for the poor, Badilag, launched a program called “Legal Aid Post” in March 2011. There are at least 46 religious courts providing legal aid post services for poor. It is based on the Circular Letter of the Supreme Court No. 10/2010 on Guidelines for Provision of Legal Aid.

The Director General of the Religious Courts, Wahyu Widiana, has observed some religious courts such as Religious Court of South Jakarta, Depok, Cianjur, Ciamis, Yogyakarta, Sleman, Surabaya, Tanjungkarang, Makassar, Manado and Jayapura.

Generally, Wahyu Widiana found that the legal aid post provided in those religious courts has run well. Because this service is relatively new to the Religious Courts, it just needs more improvements.
