Information Desk at the Supreme Court

Jakarta | badilag.net/english (24/1/10)

Information Desk at the Supreme Court receives approximately 20 to 30 guests requesting information on the proceedings of their cases daily.

The Information Desk has been operated since the end of June 2009 after the issuance of Supreme Court Decree No. 144/2007 on the openness of information in courts. Registry Division holds the responsibility to manage this desk.

The existence of Information Desk is deemed as an important part of judicial reform that has been ongoing since the Supreme Court created its Blueprint in 2003. As stated in the blueprint, reformation of bureaucracy requires the openness of information. Public has to be given a wide access to information that they need.
